The First of Many...

It recently came to my attention that this Republican race for the presidential nomination was anything but blood thirsty and vicious. I watched, like many of my fellow Republicans and even a few Democrats who could afford to switch between the debate and CNN (Democrats are, after all, held to the strict code of watching CNN before the channel loses all of its ratings), as the race and field of candidates has dwindled down to two men.

On one hand you have Mitt Romney and you may ask yourself, "Why would I support that guy?" I can't read your mind, only Hillary's, so I have no idea what your disagreement is with the former Governor of Massachusetts but I can probably sense better than yourself a little bit of religious disagreement in your position.

On the other hand we've got Mr. John McCain. The liberal senator from Arizona who likes to cross-dress on any number of occasions. Be it the Republican National Convention or a presidential debate, Senator McCain is anything but a Republican. The man who liked George H.W. Bush before he hated him, the man who supported tax cuts like a good Republican until he started consistently voting against them, the guy who doesn't know his right hand from his left but who knows what it's like to be locked up in a prison during wartime.

Now, I do my rounds of my college campus and, try as I might, I can't avoid the weirdos with their Hillary badges or Obama t-shirts. I've found very little Republicans on my campus and even less in my workplace. Where are the young Republicans? How can we band together and form a exercised and organized agency?

That's how this blog started. The internet, besides being invented by a enviro-wacky moron who (it seems) supports technological advances before he tried to disband them in the name of greenpeace (hippy?), is an amazing tool that allows people to connect together, unite, and form such a community.

I'm asked all the time, "Who will you vote for?" and I find myself wondering why anybody doubts who I think should win. Romney is no Reagan but he's no liberal and that much is obvious. I can't stand McCain and his extended hand across the Senate floor while he turns his back on the Republican base that gave him his power. He does more deals with Satan... I mean Saddam... I mean Senator Kennedy than he does with any of his Republican "comrades" (are far enough removed from the Cold War to use that yet?). Yet he somehow gets votes. It shocks me.

So this blog is the first step in my attempt to speak out against the disgusting masquerades that parades themselves before the American people as Republicans and shame, not only all of the Republicans that exist, but they shame every Republican ever to stand for this party.
